Tumblr has taught me more things, that will be useful in my life, than school ever has; I’ve learned about wars( that the news will never cover), how to make a mini survival kit that I can carry with me anywhere, non-America produces that are good for my health, works from non-English writers such as Rabindranath Tagore, Mary John Thottam, etc.( American school system will never teach children about literature outside of the curriculum), how to balance a checkbook, and how to start a conversation in Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Tamil, Swedish, Tagalog, Arabic, Swahili, and Igbo. The list is never ending but the fact is that this only shows me how fucked up the school system is, that it cares more about profit than the value of education.
Now I Understand Why My Parents…
After reading this article about kids who use marijuana , i kind of get why my parents are always suspicious of my where bouts: “Teens who use marijuana, especially around the home, have to be very resourceful to mask the smell or hid the evidence. You may find your teen has taken an interest in incense or air fresheners in their room …. They sneak out at night or go for walks. All of these things, especially if you are seeing more than one of them, are signs of marijuana drug use.”
-FYI: I don’t use weed, but according to this article I have the behaviors of a pot head.
I just like incense cause it makes my room smell good, and walking is good for your health. SHEESH.. why must rents be so suspicious about everything.
